Overview

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
• Process hourly / salary payroll utilizing time and attendance modules of the HRIS/Payroll system
• Maintain associate data within ERP system, HRIS/Payroll system and benefit providers
• Interact with associates during enrollment of company benefits, updating benefit elections and submitting add/changes/deletes to benefit providers
• Track and administer associate leaves to comply with employment law
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Maintain associate files to ensure a well-organized record of associate documentation relating to new hire requirements, benefit elections, performance and various required acknowledgments
• Work with Corporate Controller for year-end census compilation
• Assist with year-end audit procedures
• Participate in annual cost system updates
• Make journal entries necessary for month-end closing with ERP and GP systems
• Review financial statements with General Manager/Division President and identify exceptions
• Prepare monthly close packages for both internal use and corporate reporting
• Calculate incentive programs and review with General Manager/Division President
• Work with Sales Associates on past due invoices by contacting customers for inquiry
• Compile inventory information for weekly and monthly reporting
• Update calculations for monthly inventory valuation
• Monitor the accuracy of inventory reports and identify stale inventory for disposition
• Work with warehouse personnel on cycle counts and month-end inventory
• Prepare capital expenditure requests for management approval
• Track capital project costs and maintain required documentation for fixed asset accounting
• Participate in corporate sponsored internal audits
• Other duties as assigned
• Full-time role in an office

Qualifications

• Maintains highest ethical standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve and work through situations lacking necessary detail
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, reports and manuals
• Ability to write reports and clear emails
• Ability to perform basic math skills including discounts, interest and percentages

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 Years of relevant experience in full-time senior level accounting position
• Leadership experience attained through volunteer work, community involvement, board service, etc.
