Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting division and oversee the transition to a new accounting software system. This role includes traditional accounting responsibilities alongside the task of compiling and presenting key financial metrics to management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management and software implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including oversight of accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting software, ensuring a smooth transition and training for the accounting team.
• Compile and present key financial metrics and monthly reports to management, aiding strategic planning and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate and prepare for annual audits.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Sage Accounting software.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and financial management software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; CPA or CMA preferred.
