Miro is Hiring a Community Engagement Lead Near Austin, TX

About the Team

Miro is the leading visual workspace for innovation and is used by over 60 million people worldwide. The Community team is dedicated to our super users, creators, and advocates. We amplify their voices to encourage and inspire more people to share their ideas on Miro and create the next big thing.

About the Role

Millions of people love Miro — they're super fans who express their passion by sharing templates, ideas, and workflows every day. We're looking for a Community Engagement Lead who will be responsible for driving and growing engagement and vibrancy in the programs designed for our Creator community, the thousands of Miro super users to contribute to our Miroverse template library.
This person will lead the charge by building programs that deliver a VIP experience to our Creator community via engagement, lifecycle and 'surprise and delight' programs.
Every day, you'll lead a strategy to build a 'community of practice' that brings together those who share a common interest and collectively develop and share knowledge around Miro, enabling them to publish high quality content on Miro and impact millions of users.
You'll develop a deep understanding of our community members: their needs, feedback, and content. You'll own the content, events and creator community engagement strategy to delight and inspire our members, and you'll report on results. You'll also work cross-functionally to provide connection points between the community and our marketing and product teams to build impactful experiences that scale. Your success will be measured by the growth of UGC templates, engaged community members, and NPS.
In this role, you'll be the voice of the needs and expectations of our most engaged community members. You'll be a crucial part of scaling user-generated content and fostering a strong relationship with our community through the programming we offer them. Experimentation, agility, and a solution-oriented mindset are important to your success.

What you'll do

You'll do well in this role if you're a community expert who can:

  • Deploy MOFU/BOFU strategies across programs to convert novice creators into highly-engaged community leaders that drive UGC
  • Build and shape the future of our Creator Marketing strategy with new ideas and strategies that deliver remarkable experiences and enable our authentic flywheel of community-led growth
  • Analyze community engagement and growth metrics alongside user feedback to identify opportunities and gaps
  • Drive creative and engaging campaigns, content, and events that enable creators to publish high quality templates
  • Design processes to be responsive to community members across their needs for tips, support, and connection
  • Report on community engagement insights and trends to senior marketing stakeholders
  • Vet and manage freelancers and agencies to help you execute your programs

    What you'll need

    • 7 years of community building and marketing program/campaign strategy experience
    • 5 years in marketing, lifecycle and engagement experimentation
    • Experience interfacing directly with community members, partners, and customers
    • Experience working with product teams and external partners
    • Experience managing content calendars and SLAs
    • "Start with why" by putting the community in the forefront of all you do
    • Communicate clearly cross-functionally and manage up
    • Curiosity and positive intent
    • Proactivity in driving opportunities for experiments and optimization
    • Be an entrepreneur at heart: you are a self starter and independent thinker!
    • Take ownership of ideation, development, and launch of engagement opportunities for the community
    • A growth mindset with empathy, and patience towards internal and external partners

    What's in it for you

    • 401k matching Competitive equity package
    • Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision health benefits
    • Fertility & Family Forming Benefits
    • Flexible time off
    • Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office
    • Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance
    • Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career
    • Up to $2,000 of charitable donation matches each year
