Overview:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) role at Our Award Winning Client involves managing business development activities within the environmental services and equipment industry. The KAM is responsible for driving sales, acquiring new business from key accounts, and nurturing existing relationships. This role requires understanding customer needs, cross-selling additional products and services, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet sales performance targets.
  • Identify and pursue higher-level sales opportunities, fostering relationships at the highest regional level.
  • Utilize market data and analytics to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate with Sales VP and Director of Sales to devise regional/area strategies for key account identification.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure prompt handling of customer requests.
  • Identify key projects and opportunities within the region/area from key accounts, collaborating with Territory Account Managers to pursue and close deals.
  • Mentor and coach Territory Account Managers throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products and services offered by Our Award Winning Client.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and document sales activities using Salesforce.
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences to foster business growth.
  • Utilize various sales techniques to expand business within the region/area.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Outside Territory Account Management and New Business Development experience.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship development and selling value propositions.
  • Strong prospecting, cold calling, and referral generation skills.
  • Ability to meet sales goals, manage territories, deliver presentations, and build relationships.
  • Experience in negotiating and emphasizing excellence in sales planning and performance management.
  • Relevant industry background preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, and revenue generation.
  • Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, lead sourcing, closing, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective time management, organization, follow-up, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance.
