Job Summary and Qualifications

The Revenue Integrity Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining an accurate CDM; correctly asses and resolve billing/coding edits in the Bill 45, Bill 49, MSC and other reports to improve cash flow; improving the flow process of maintenance; working collaboratively with facility personnel, IS, management and preferred vendors; monitoring compliance with corporate, federal and state guidelines; prioritizing; maintaining timely turnaround; serving as a resource when necessary; performing periodic audits; monitoring facility charging mechanisms and systems, and participating in CDM best demonstrated practice initiatives.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Enters appropriate billing codes by reviewing departmental and vendor documentation, films, & MD dictations to ensure accuracy of procedure, supply, and implant charges.

• Enters all procedural and implant data into facility procedure & implant spreadsheets.
• Submits estimated charges for CRM devices that are replaced while under warranty or recall and enters all data into the MHS CRM explant database.
• Reviews monthly CRM vendor reports and submits credits for the estimated charges and the actual charges for CRM devices, which are replaced while under warranty or recall after the vendors credit determination is complete.
• Working collaboratively with facility personnel and preferred vendors to obtain any additional documentation and/or information for any omissions or discrepancies in the documentation that is required for accurate billing.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or other related clinical profession is preferred.

• Minimum of three years related work experience in the areas of Nursing, Medical Records, Patient Billing and Chart/Bill audit preferred.
