Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and medical billing processes. Duties: - Review and analyze patient medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing issues or discrepancies - Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, insurance details, and billing history - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of services rendered - Assist with medical collections, including contacting patients regarding outstanding balances and setting up payment plans - Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing and coding Skills: - Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and medical billing processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures - Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes - Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong problem-solving skills to resolve billing issues or discrepancies If you are a skilled Medical Biller looking for a challenging role in a dynamic healthcare setting, we invite you to apply.
