Introduction

Overview

McKenney’s, Inc. has a fleet of over 600 vehicles between the field, office, trucking, and support staff teams. The Vehicle Program Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the existing fleet program and implementing recommended procurement and maintenance changes for McKenney’s company fleet in both Atlanta and Charlotte. The Vehicle Program Analyst will also be in charge of overseeing all procurement of new vehicles. Additional duties include but are not limited to researching fleet technologies, safety recommendations, and new products, implementing technology changes and process improvements, and supporting fleet managers with issue resolution. Interaction with fleet managers, risk management, safety team, and company leadership will be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and maintain fleet reporting on procurement costs, maintenance costs, usage, etc.
• Analyze financial, quality, and productivity performance for all vehicle partners and develop list of areas needing improvement.
• Make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager for process improvement, standardization, and technology use within the fleet department.
• Perform yearly analysis of fleet industry trends for reporting to leadership. 
• Research new products and provide recommendations to Purchasing Manager for fleet ordering changes for cost savings and increased safety.
• Develop the execution and implementation strategy for new Vehicle Department process improvements, policies, and program guidelines.
• Participate in Logistics MGI Committee through ownership of fleet MyGoodIdeas.
• Document and standardize fleet practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Perform quarterly meetings with fleet managers to discuss procurement of new vehicles and auctioning of existing vehicles.
• Develop and maintain relationships with all vendors, including technology vendors, vehicle sales and maintenance vendors.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries and complaints from service users, maintain good customer relations and improve fleet operational performance.

Procurement:

• Develop procurement standards for vehicle upfit including model numbers, cost, and potential alternatives.
• Review vehicle specifications yearly for new model year orders and compare to previous orders.
• Review vehicle needs with fleet managers quarterly. Report vehicle needs to manufacturers for allocation. Identify and purchase vehicles out of stock as required.
• Place orders for all new vehicles and track orders through completion, including upfit, delivery, and inspection before turnover.
• Assist fleet vendors in getting POs and invoices paid from fleet management company.
• Collect feedback on vehicle and upfit performance and analyze return on investment of changes to base selections.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• Experience with customer support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Smartsheet.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work is performed in an office environment with frequent exposure to outside elements.
• Work can be exposed to the outside elements.
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• This position requires working from the McKenney’s campus in Atlanta.
