This is a full-time position that will be regularly scheduled to work Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Job Duties & Tasks
We're looking for excellent communication and multitasking skills for our faced-paced medical center.
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office/hospital. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Patient greeting, phones, scheduling
- Manage all work comp visits
- Manage No-show follow- ups
- Process Pre- authorizations
- Manage and maintain waiting room area
- Process billing/charges in a timely manner
- Medical Records: Manage, maintain, and request records from other facilities upon provider’s request
Requirements
- Highschool graduate or equivalent
- Spanish bi-lingual required
- 1-year medical office experience preferred, but not a requirement
- Must be willing to train and perform back-office duties
- Must be willing to travel to other MBI/Workwell clinics for training and occasional coverage
