Founded in 1982, MBI Industrial Medicine, Inc. is an Arizona based company operating 30 full service occupational healthcare facilities in Arizona, Colorado, California and Nevada. MBI is unique - we are the only occupational healthcare company with the sole focus of treating the injured worker.

MBI is seeking an experienced Medical Payment Poster to join our team. This is a full-time position that will be regularly scheduled to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Onsite)

Essential Job Duties & Tasks

• Completes payment entry in a timely and accurate manner including:
• Posts payments to practice management system (checks within 24 hours, Credit Card payments the next business day, EFT deposits within 72 hours)
• Records batch totals with date and initials on payment receipt spreadsheet
• Balances batches and runs transaction reports.
• Verifies all EFT deposits and scanned checks have been posted by month end.
• Properly communicates payment denials to the appropriate billing representative in a timely manner.
• Identifies any payments not being paid at the fee schedule or contracted amount and communicates this to the appropriate billing representative or manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours: Business hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Hours are dependent on business needs.

Education, Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare billing position.
• Candidates must be able to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills required to operate practice management system (i.e., use Window operating system, conduct Internet searches, communicate by email, etc.)
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient computer skills, computer software and all other office equipment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to develop relationships with colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task and work with constantly changing circumstances and priorities.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
