Our client is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their esteemed Litigation & Trial Practice group out of their Downtown Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience within the legal or related professional services industry. Proficiency in criminal litigation, class action litigation, and electronic discovery is preferred. We are looking for self-starters who are highly organized team players. This role may require occasional overtime to meet client demands.
Essential Duties:
- Analyze incoming data sources and compile detailed reports for case teams.
- Review and summarize depositions, indexes, and other legal documents.
- Perform various automated support tasks to prepare, organize, and manage exhibits and evidence relevant to cases.
- Utilize state and federal electronic filing systems efficiently.
- Gather case materials, including evidence, exhibits, motions, and subpoenas.
- Provide technical and analytical support to attorneys, including document review, legal research, and drafting motions.
- Collaborate with attorneys to establish efficient document review workflows.
- Assist in legal automation requirements and system capabilities for investigatory or litigation decisions.
- Analyze work product and create document productions using database platforms.
- Maintain proper chain of custody protocols for tracked data.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking, graph creation, and calculations.
- Apply knowledge of civil and criminal procedures to support case preparation and trial procedures.
