Global Integrity Realty Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong focus on labor and employment law to join our corporate team. The ideal candidate will support our Operations department in handling litigation matters related to human resources, employment disputes, and compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Support: Assist in all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses related to HR and employment law matters.
- Employment Law Compliance: Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Provide guidance to the HR department and Senior Management team on compliance issues.
- Case Management: Manage and organize case files, documents, and evidence for litigation matters. Coordinate with external counsel and experts as needed.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on HR/employment law issues, precedent cases, statutes, and regulations to support legal strategies and arguments.
- Document Review: Review and analyze employment agreements, policies, procedures, and contracts to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Administrative Support: Assist the COO and HR department with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and managing correspondence related to litigation matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- Certified Paralegal (CP) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with a focus on HR/employment law.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and EEOC guidelines.
- Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
