We are a high profile Los Angeles based Civil Rights Plaintiff's Litigation Law Firm in the Mid-Wilshire District, seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in trial preparation, discovery, and filings in both State and Federal Court, and at least 5 years of experience in either Civil Rights or Personal Injury law.

Responsibilities

• E-Filing with Los Angeles Superior, State, and Federal Courts
• Propounding discovery and drafting responses
• Understanding CCP/FRCP discovery deadlines and motion practice
• Draft pleadings, motions, appellate documents
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
• Manage relationships with clients and client's family members
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests

Skills Required

• Paralegal degree or certificate
• Minimum 10 years experience as a litigation Paralegal
• Strong Word Processor skills(pleadings, tables, shells, declarations)
• Strong Adobe Acrobat skills(ocr, bookmarks, appendices, redaction)
• Experience with TrueFile, CM/ECF, and LASC Tech Portal
• Lexis Nexus and Pacer knowledge
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc
