What will you do?

We are looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative who will work with our team to manage existing customer accounts, create new customer opportunities, and exceed customer satisfaction expectations. You will interact with outside sales, engineering, manufacturing, and shipping to deliver products to our customers. You should have a love for communicating and building relationships with customers, as well as working with a team to provide leading-edge industry solutions in a variety of power transmission and material handling applications. Each call you make allows you to help our customers get their businesses up and running!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete an extensive hands-on training program including time in a manufacturing environment on the shop floor.
  • Focus on career growth and personal development.
  • Respond to inbound sales calls from our established customer base for product and pricing information, order status, or delivery confirmation.
  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery; working closely with our machine shop and other facilities to manufacture and expedite orders.
  • Enter orders and quotes custom manufactured components and systems, and perform quote follow-ups in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate with Outside Sales on open opportunities in their sales territories and work together to grow customer sales.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding equipment use, applications, operation, and maintenance. 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of sales/customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or technical inclination is required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has a sense of urgency in responding to customer requests.
  • A team approach to achieving high performance.
  • Self-starter attitude with the drive to succeed and achieve goals.
  • Independent ability to evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Computer proficiency and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft AX is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Wage information:

  • Annual Salary: $66,560

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to California’s SB 1162 Pay Equity Law. It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin’s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
