The Guest Services Manager is responsible for leading in the direction and direction of the administration of Front Office operations in the hotel's effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position requires the ability to provide an exceptional first impression to our guests and have a natural passion for delivering flawless service, while maintaining the ability to hold associates accountable to the highest standards and expectations upheld by the Marriott Moxy brand.
This individual should want to have fun, delivering a fun and outgoing demeanor in the location that is one of Nashville's busiest areas which is Broadway. Our hotel brand is all about the fun! Our guests check in at the bar, we have live music 7 nights a week, and we are the only hotel that is actually on Broadway! Branding for this modern/funky/simplistic hotel is driven by the moments that matter...smiles on the faces of our guests and associates, by the way our brand color is HOT PINK!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Hold responsibility for all front office/guest service operations to include, but not limited to; guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and inspections, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, drive loyalty via Marriott Rewards Enrollment plan, as well as Marriott brand policy and procedure implementation and execution.
*Conduct on-the-spot role-playing to evaluate quality and service, spot-check team members regularly ensuring all guest service programs are being utilized during shifts.
Display a positive, hands-on leadership style to attract, retain and motivate the associates; hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance, resolve problems, provide open communications.
*Act as Manager on Duty for the hotel, handle guest concerns, problem solving, provide service recoveries, address disturbances, facilitate special requests.
*Conduct effective monthly communication meetings and produce meeting minutes.
*Prepare weekly department schedules, ensuring the business needs are met while creating a fair work-home balance for associates.
*Conduct weekly inventory of items for market and ensure items are stocked adiquately.
*Be the face of the guest service area to include lobby, valet, bar, and guest services.
*Effectively communicate with all departments of hotel to ensure issues are being addressed in a timely manner with the goal of delivering superior service to all of the hotel guests.
*Create and complete reports of revenue and deliver to leadership weekly to include market sales, food sales, guest service post stay surveys.
*Assignments and direction given from the leadership heirachy.
