Marqeta is Hiring a Remote Senior Sales Analyst

As Marqeta’s Senior Sales Analyst, you will analyze and interpret pipeline trends; design, develop, and manage reports and dashboards; and develop high impact Executive reports to increase visibility and improve sales performance and productivity.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remote within the United States or from our Oakland, CA headquarters. We’d love for you to join us!

Position Summary

Reporting to the Planning Director on the GTM Strategy and Operations team, the Sales Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting pipeline trends; designing, developing, and managing reports and dashboards; and developing high impact Management reports to increase visibility and improve sales performance and productivity. 

The GTM Strategy and Operations team is made up of diverse, agile-thinking, and highly-skilled professionals; we use our combined capabilities to enable the organization with innovation, speed, agility, scalability and efficiency. The successful candidate possesses excellent analytical and problem solving skills, is detail oriented, and a self-starter leader with a positive attitude and strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Sales Analytics activities and initiatives
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify pipeline trends and insights; communicate key findings across teams and at all levels of management to improve transparency, sales performance and efficiency 
  • Design, develop, manage, and monitor reports, dashboards, and metrics in Salesforce, Looker, and other systems
  • Develop high-impact presentation materials to support our Management reporting 
  • Leverage internal systems to automate reports and scale current/future processes whenever possible
  • Develop SQL queries across multiple databases linking together performance data for internal benchmarking reports.
  • Leverage database queries for performance reporting connecting multiple systems together in scalable and automated dashboards. 
  • Provide troubleshooting and project support

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience as an analyst in Sales or Revenue operations or business consulting
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience building and customizing Salesforce.com reports and dashboards and performing analysis in Excel/Google sheets
  • Positive attitude, adaptable, self-starter who is detail-oriented and has strong time management, communication, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work and lead initiatives independently and build cross functional relationships
  • Startup/high growth company experience with a proven track record of thriving in high-performing teams and fast-paced environments 
  • Experience in Looker, SQL, and advanced Excel/Google sheets

  • Experience working in Fintech and payments

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:

  • National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
  • Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
  • Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:

  • National: $81,600 - $108,800
  • Premium: $91,800 - $122,400
  • Premium Plus: $102,000 - $136,000
