Summary:
Supporting our Retail business Unit, the Account Manager will be the Best Buy onsite liaison developing mutually beneficial relationships with the Best Buy leadership team, specifically the (3PL) Third Party Labor Organization. This role will be focused on identifying business opportunities within Best Buy, providing reporting and oversight on the current MarketSource programs that are deployed within Best Buy stores and assisting the continuous improvement activities with the Client Services leadership team. Additional responsibilities include working with the Business Development team on creating and executing growth strategies for Best Buy centric business and providing competitive and marketplace insights.
Successful Account Manager candidates will possess the key skills, expertise, and experience to effectively prospect for new business, identify new opportunities, and create value through competitive differentiation and consultative dialogue. In addition, successful candidates will have experience overseeing client services operations and possesses significant retail field management experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure all MarketSource programs are meeting/exceeding all of Best Buy’s requirements and ensuring MarketSource is the leader in compliance across all 3PL providers.
Work with Best Buy 3PL leadership related to access and use of Best Buy data inclusive of providing Best Buy with MS representative schedules at the appropriate timeframes
Facilitate and Lead all Best Buy Quarterly Business Reviews
Create and execute a strategy for growing services revenues and overall awareness of retail solution offerings
Develop and execute a prospecting strategy to increase visibility of MarketSource solutions at Best Buy
Support the Business Development Team’s sales efforts to develop solutions for Brand’s operating in Best Buy
Communicate with Best Buy regarding new program launches to ensure all approvals are received prior to new program launch
Intimately understand customers’ core initiatives, business needs, align capabilities and sales message accordingly
Provide leadership, support and education to internal stakeholders in support of key sales initiatives
Documentation of best practices, case studies and methodologies as it relates to wins in the market
Negotiate and manage client commitments and expectations Ensure sales, market and competitive information is captured and shared
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Direct sales outsourcing experience either as an operational leader, salesperson or as a customer in a business management role
In depth understanding of direct/indirect channel sales strategy in Retail environments
Experience and contacts with Retailers and Manufacturers in Consumer Electronics is required
Effective ability to develop and navigate, Sr Level business relationships
Excellent written, oral, and presentation-based communication skills
Ability to speak to and motivate groups of people
Ability to present capabilities and solutions to customers
Ability to respond to comprehensive and detailed RFPs and customer driven bids
Excellent time management skills
Excellent customer service skills
Exceptional ability to analyze and solve problems
Strong organizational skills
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, related field, or equivalent experience,
Two to five years of prior program leadership, sales or lead generation experience required
Direct sales outsourcing experience, a plus.
