Job Description
Marathon Staffing is looking for reliable, qualified candidates for a Temp-to-Hire Field Technician with our busy manufacturing client in Corpus Christi, TX!!!
The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair all Control Valve Business Unit products and solicit the sale and installation of spare parts.
Technicians may be asked to repair, and overhaul competitor’s valves as needed.
RESPONSBILITIES :
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment in the field. The equipment will primarily consist of Control Valve products.
- Provide technical phone support to customers
- Assist assembly department when requested and available.
- Assist the engineering department with failure evaluations.
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s).
- Conduct diagnostic testing on control valves and interpret the results. Testing can be via SoftTools, Profiler, ValveSight, FAST Test, or StarTalk XP software.
- Proficient with HART, MODBUS and Foundation Fieldbus digital communication protocols.
- Some Travel is REQUIRED : Must be able to travel at short notice w / potential for overnight stays.
- Customer service skills are necessary must be able to coordinate with customer.
Requirements :
- Previous experience with welding and machining strongly preferred.
- High School diploma / GED or prior formal work experience is required
- 2-3 years minimum experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction or related work environment is required.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Self-motivated
- Works well in team environment
- Travel for this position is REQUIRED, sometimes at short notice with potential for overnight stays.
- Valid Driver's License
This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX reliable transportation is a must
Pay Rate : $
Shift Hours : Monday Friday from 7 : 00am 3 : 45pm / OT and weekend work requested or required with short notice. Also, long-term there will be travel with overnight stays.
