POSITION DETAILS:

The Transportation Clerk provides high administrative support with data entry and maintaining and managing pertinent records for the Transportation Department. The Transportation Clerk demonstrates proficiency in the work order system application and database. The Transportation Clerk provides the department with timely, accurate and valuable maintenance information and reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Provide and review reports for the Transportation Department as needed.

• Collect and process vendor invoices and related documentation

• Maintain and update the RTA work order system.

• Meet weekly and fiscal period closing deadlines.

• Works closely with other departments to coordinate efforts, communicate changes and carry out all responsibilities. Departments such the Parts Clerk, Shop Foreman, other Transportation clerks, mechanics, technicians, accountants, and other department administrative support.

• Review and Process Mail

• Order supplies

• Complete and maintain monthly fuel and mileage reports.

• Participates in educational opportunities and offered training sessions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus a minimum of two or more (2 ) years of office/clerical experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel

• Effective verbal and written communication.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
