Lyons HR, LLC is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Knoxville, TN

Accounts Payable SpecialistPrimary Responsibilities
  • Communicating with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries.
  • Attaching the correct documentation to invoices in the system.
  • Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they’re coded correctly in the system.
  •  Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment, verifying all data on the invoice.
  • Dealing with external and internal queries by phone and email
  •  Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items
  •  Strong organizational skills, as they typically handle high volumes of invoices.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to actively listen to others and relay information clearly.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and creditors.
  • The ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors.
  • Check vendor files for any previous payments to protect businesses against unintentional overpayment.
  •  Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, associate degree strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus.
  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
Compensation/Benefits
  • Full Time Position with regular office hours will be Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Salary: $45,000 per year
Insurance; Choice of 3 BlueCross/BlueShield Health Plans with $400 Employer contribution to monthly premium, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, LifeLock (identity theft protection), Legal Insurance and Aflac individual supplemental products available. Benefit programs may require employee contributions.
  • 401(k),with employer match
  • Hotel discounts for all brands that we manage including Hilton, IHG, and Marriott
  • One-week paid vacation and two days sick pay within the first year of employment. 2 weeks paid vacation after 3 years of continuous full-time employment, 3 weeks paid vacation after 8 years of continuous full-time employment.
