```Job Overview```
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all payable transactions. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up to date.
```Responsibilities```
- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and obtaining proper approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with special projects as assigned
```Qualifications```
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation, debits, credits, and general ledger
- Proficiency in using construction based accounting software
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions within deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Foundation & DataForma a plus
