Medical Receptionist

Job Summary:

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the daily operations of the front desk and insurance verification. This position requires a team player who works well with others and is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Receptionist will also be responsible for insurance verification, patient scheduling, answering phones, and assisting with administrative duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
·Greet all patients by name and check in patients using our medical software
·Schedule patient appointments and collect copays and co-insurance amounts as needed
·Answer all incoming calls, including but not limited to: physician’s office, referring physicians, etc.
·Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance information
·Check in patients using our medical software
·Answer all incoming calls, including but not limited to: referring physicians, etc.
·Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance information
·Check in patients using our medical software
·Answer all incoming calls, including but not limited to: referring physicians, etc.
·Schedules patient appointments using our medical software.
·Perform other administrative duties as needed such as: insurance verification, scheduling, etc.
·Maintain front office filing systems such as: patient records, physician orders/instructions, x-ray requests, etc.
·Perform other office duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Healthcare setting:

• Med spa

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
