Job Summary:
I am seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join my outpatient physical therapy clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient office procedures. The ideal candidate is able to engage with patients and assist patients on the therapy floor as needed. The position will eventually be trained in the billing aspect of the clinic that will be part of the front desk responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be friendly and energetic with a positive outlook that encourages patients to have a good time while exercising and receiving physical therapy care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain calendars
- Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Submit insurance claims thru a cloud based medical billing software system
- Collect payments from patients and insurance payments
- Assist patients with starting exercise machines and therapy regimen
- Provide patients with heat and ice in preparation for treatment
Experience:
The following skills and experience are preferred for the Front Desk Agent position:
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting is advantageous
- Proficiency in computerized systems for managing appointments and data
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars efficiently
- Experience with phone systems and handling customer inquiries effectively
- Familiarity with administrative tasks such as data entry and order processing
- Active and familiar with exercise machines and enjoys being physically active
