Los Alamos National Laboratory is Hiring a Program Manager 1 Near Los Alamos, NM

What You Will Do

Join Our Team! The Engineering Technology & Design (E-DO) Division is searching for an entry-level Program Manager. You will work within the E Division office teaming with other program managers in E Division as well as across the directorate to support projects and programs across E, W and Q Divisions in support of ALDW missions. You will participate and, in some cases, lead phases of the project life cycle. This includes working with the relevant organizations to ensure experiments have appropriate funding, resources, and priority to define, fabricate, assemble, instrument, and execute experiments. You will also work with division management and Weapons Facilities Operations (WFO) to ensure all ongoing facility upgrades and maintenance is executed according to schedule. You will also be responsible for updating the investments and capabilities documentation as well as working with group management and the division office to identify what projects to fund.

The Engineering Technology and Design (E) Division is the premier engineering solution provider for national security challenges that include mechanical and thermal, process modeling and analysis, process and automation control, experimental device engineering and assembly, non-destructive testing and evaluation, advanced engineering analysis, and weapons test engineering. The Division works in close liaison with several production facilities across the nuclear security complex (including the LANL Production Agency) as well as with the customers in the US Navy and Air Force. The Division is also tasked with broadly anticipating the scope of possible future modernizations and with enabling the various technology advances that they might require. Activities will include collaborations with the Weapon Systems Engineering (W) Division and Stockpile Modernization (Q) Division. Projects vary widely from small weapon component and system level design, testing and computational simulation to experimental programs that require close integration and coordination with the US Navy and NNSA.
