Job Responsibilities:

• Match purchase orders to invoices and enter invoices into system.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
• Resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements. Update vendor names and data. Maintain updated vendor files and files numbers.
• Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the AP function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures.
• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
• Provide accurate and effective documents and records that comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
• Maintain listing of accounts payable.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Ensuring that all invoices received are uploaded;
• Ensures that invoices are submitted for payment in a timely manner;
• Ensures that supplier accounts are cleared with payments;
• That accounts payable supports are available for use in SharePoint and SAP;
• Avoid, within the possibilities, the surcharge that occurs with delays in the payment of invoices;
• Verifies the receipts account without invoices and maintains it with a minimum value

Skills/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Excellent data entry skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or as a team member.

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually mild in office and moderate in the manufacturing shop area.
