SHOPCO, USA, Inc. is recruiting for an entrepreneurial, strategic, customer-centric and team-oriented Accounts Payable employee for our headquarters office in Houston, TX.
Summary:
Responsible for company-wide payments and expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices.

Responsible for company-wide payments and expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Duties:
- Verifies approval on all invoices with 3-way matching – high-volume
- Responsible for coding invoices and ensuring proper job costing
- Update and maintain vendor database, including verifying Federal ID numbers and issuing 1099s at year-end
- Responsible for reconciling vendor statements
- Ability to process and follow up on rush items and maintain account payable files
- Prepares analysis and reconciliations of job costing items such as freight cost
- Responsible for Vendor Reconciliation with Weekly AP Check Run
- Ad Hoc Projects as Needed
Education and Experience Needed:
- Minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate math skills necessary
- Excel Skills are a must
- Strong communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Strict attention to detail and excellent problem-solving and listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team environment.
