XL Parts is the fastest growing Direct-to- the-Installer parts supplier in the Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Oklahoma City areas. We carry 120,000 different part numbers covering 175 product lines from dozens of Manufactures.Under general direction of the CFO, the AP Manager is responsible for all areas relating to accounts payable. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounts payable principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounts Payable Manager should be able to work with tight deadlines, will have been in a multi-faceted accounting position for a growing organization. In this role, the person will be expected to manage a team of individuals that are responsible for developing and maintaining a customer-focused, high performing Accounts Payable work team that provides a consistent level of service. The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage the Accounts Payable operation: ensuring timely, accurate payments to suppliers, expense reimbursements to our employees, as well as other critical reporting requirements. Additional responsibilities include management and development of continuous improvement of work processes.Job DescriptionResponsible for timely processing of accounts payable invoicesReview and establish departmental processes and proceduresEnsure payments are made timely and cash discounts are taken as appropriateEnsure adequate controls of invoice authorizations for paymentsReview accounts payable activity and make correcting JE?s as necessaryManage accounts payable clerksAssist and provide support to users companywideEstablish written procedures on receiving discrepancies and steps to review complianceDivide work among clerks to facilitate workflow and ensure proper cross trainingProvide support and assistance for annual auditHeavy interaction with all levels of employees including senior management.
