TITLE: ConstructionProject Manager

DUTIES: Responsiblefor the overall support, direction and management of the Engineering and Constructionportion of the project, from proposal preparation to mechanical completion.Review all proposal documents to determine special requirements, permits andlicenses for Engineering and Construction phases. Define the scope of work anddetermine all requirements to execute the engineering and construction portion.Utilize engineering and construction management methodologies, system and toolsas defined by Company. Gather project specific documents as required anddevelop a complete bid package for subcontractors. Participate in evaluationand negotiation of the bids received. Work with the construction site Managerto implement the construction management infrastructure in accordance withapplicable policies and work instructions. Prepare periodic management and/orcustomer reports and presentations as required. Prepare and conduct Engineeringand Construction Management team meetings. Manage Engineering and Constructionproject budget and control expenses. Provide feedback regarding employee performanceon Engineering and Construction project team to the Director ofEngineering/Construction. Provide Engineering and Construction managementreports and presentation as required by Policies and work instructions.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent inEngineering (any) or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in theposition offered or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experiencein each of the following: Engineering and Construction management of AirSeparation Units and flammable Projects; Standards and policies includingspecial materials/processes that request specific procedures to handle withOxygen and flammable Installations; Cryogenic and gas projects to determine theguidance of the Engineering and Construction phases; Utilizing methodology ofProject Management Professional to manage engineering, design, procurement,fabrication, construction, commissioning and start-up, specifically tocryogenic and flammable projects; Determining the amount of modularizing thatwill be cost effective and maintaining constructability reviews throughout theBasic and Detail Engineering Phases; Understanding major design engineeringdisciplines, including Piping, Equipment, Process, Civil/Structural,Instrumentation, and Electrical; Understanding continuous flowchemical/physical processes typical of hydrocarbon processing, hydrogenproduction and air separation; Determining level of Engineering andConstruction scope, complexity rating, budget, risk and opportunity assessment;and Understanding overall contract weighting, strategy and concept, definingmandatory executions standards and tools and defining staffing levels anddurations. 25% domestic travel to Client and Linde sites.
HOURS: Full-Time;Mon-Fri (40 hours per week)
