LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND is Hiring a CUSTOMER SERVICE REP Near St. Louis, MO

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook), Inventory Control Software, internal Operating System, and office equipment (phone, photocopier, scanner, etc.)
  • Quote customers on unit prices, shipping date, lead times, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Review and edit orders received for price concurrence and nomenclature. Communicates to customer any discrepancies or issues.
  • Check orders for accuracy and enters into ordering system where accuracy is critical.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from customers or individuals on how product operates, product attributes, availability, lead time, etc. and/or directs them to the person that is able to assist them.
  • Issue return material authorizations and create replacement orders for customer replacements.
  • Expedite and track orders for customers.
  • Coordinate special orders and pricing for contract packaging.
  • Receive, enter, and assign customer complaints to appropriate department.
  • Generate proposals, letters and miscellaneous communications as needed.
  • Maintain files of processed orders.
  • Confer with production, technical services, quality control, sales, and shipping personnel on orders.
  • Provide back-up as needed for company-wide phone system.
  • Participates in sales calls/conferences, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent Communication Skills; verbal and written.
  • Good math skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Computer literate using Microsoft Office.
  • Customer Order Processing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • 1 year Customer Service experience.
  • 1 year order/data processing.
