LGO Hospitality is hiring a Controller

For over 20 years, LGO has gained a reputation for our high quality food and exceptional ingredients We are looking for a dedicated, personable, hands-on Controller seeking a dynamic opportunity to assist our restaurant teams and provide financial support in the Accounting and Payroll departments. The Controller will be responsible for:

• Direct the accuracy of all accounting, payroll, budgeting processes and the quality of financial reporting activities from the accounting department. Audit accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll activities. Ensure that reconciling items are identified, researched and resolved.
• Work with Payroll to ensure accuracy and execution of weekly payroll runs within deadlines. Ensure all tax reports and government required documentation are submitted timely for all entities. Work with Accounting Firm providing documents needed for tax preparation.
• Evolve internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for accounting and payroll to increase efficiency and eliminate errors.
• Act as liaison between third party Accounting/Payroll companies and LGO Hospitality.
• Ensure compliance of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and current accounting standards.
• Manage the preparation and review of bank recs, account reconciliations and analyses.
• Prepare Corporate P&L and review store P&Ls

Experience:

• 3 years of solid controller experience is required!
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role. Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality financials is a plus!
• Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices, GAAP and other relevant regulations
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as Sage, Paychex and Margin Edge or similar systems
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Must be able to travel to Los Angeles or Phoenix.

Competitive Pay and Benefits:

- Starting pay: $90k per year - DOE

- 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 weeks after 3 years with the company

- 4 weeks paid sabbatical after 10 years with the company
