Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Controller to join our team and oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting for our family of businesses. The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations, as well as providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Coordinate the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present financial reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

2. Coordinate the creation of Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management, highlighting areas of concern or potential risks.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and achieve financial objectives.

3. Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate the annual audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed to facilitate audits and regulatory examinations.

4. Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

5. Strategic Planning and Decision Support:

  • Partner with senior management to develop long-term strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support business initiatives, investments, and resource allocation decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
