Description

The Controller is responsible for all financial and management accounting activities of the business units including monitoring the financial performance of specific business units/programs, reporting, managing budget, forecast preparation, and payroll, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures in conjunction and coordination with the Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions (GL, ME, YE, GL, Balance Sheet and P&L)
• Develop timely and accurate financial reports for the Executive team. Supporting Senior Management in key financial decisions.
• Assist in the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports; ensures reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles including new standards as required with financial planning, budget preparation, reports and forecasting
• Complete, review and evaluate bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple entities
• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems and implement as necessary in coordination with CFO
• Develop and maintain key performance analytics and indicators in conjunction with CFO
• Prepare weekly, monthly, annual year end reports
• Work with third party auditors for annual audit compliance
• Perform various special projects as assigned
• Assist in process and system improvements, creation of and/or adherence to policies, procedures and internal controls and the overall accuracy of the financial records and reporting
• Provides financial analysis and supports expense management initiatives, as required
• Works with an external CPA firm for the successful completion of annual tax filings
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

Ohana Management Group, LLC is currently seeking a Financial Controller with a solid work history, attention to detail, strong computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude and a passion for problem solving and solid analytical experience to join our Finance Team.

• Must have Quick Books Online experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 10 years accounting, financial planning and analysis experience
• Strong technology skills a must (Excel and Database tools)
• Financial Statement Preparation, Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet experience
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation for multiple entities preferred
• Experience in a standard costing environment
• Manages working capital and cash management processes and reporting
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
• Demonstrates initiative and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
