Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. is seeking a Director, Human Resources. The Director works directly with our executive team, divisional business leaders, and the HR team to develop and execute our HR strategic initiatives that drive the engagement of our employees and sustain our high performing organization and culture.

The Director operates as a working manager who provides the right balance of strategic business partnership and tactical, day-to-day execution in their support to multiple business groups. Strategically, the HR Director works with business leaders to ensure business units are operating effectively, leveraging talent appropriately, and sustaining a positive culture and work environment in achieving business objectives. At a tactical level, the HR Director provides immediate response and support to the business on HR issues, such as employee relations, compensation and benefits, conflict resolution, risk mitigation, etc. and works both promptly and thoughtfully to resolve these issues. Additionally, the HR Director will support global, enterprise-wide initiatives and processes related to policy development, mergers and acquisitions, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, talent management and employee services, all of which must be done in the context of enabling business success.

This position is based at our headquarters in Springfield, IL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports and manages all HR systems and processes including salary administration, benefit programs, FMLA and disability management, performance management, leadership training and development, new employee onboarding, and departing employee offboarding.
  • Supports and leads various HR processes needed to ensure the completeness and accuracy of employment documentation to support the effective delivery of HR services and to implement HR strategies, programs, and processes.
  • Provides day-to-day collaboration and support on all types of employee relations issues and works promptly with key partners to resolve conflict, mitigate employee and organizational risk, maintain high levels of performance and retention, and document resolutions/conclusion.
  • Develops and administers existing HR policies and procedures; works closely with internal compliance and legal teams to ensure policies comply with federal, state, local, and international laws; and provides support and training to LRS managers to ensure understanding and compliance with policies.
  • Partners with the executive team on global administrative HR initiatives (i.e., review, modification, and development of company-wide policies and procedures, etc.) and facilitates effective change management practices to endure broad-based policy changes are successfully communicated, adopted, and executed.
  • Partners with other business leaders to drive employee engagement and retention by analyzing exit interviews, recruitment feedback, and employee surveys to identify people issues and trends and participate in their resolution.
  • Leads efforts to support and promote the organizational culture including adoption and adherence to the LRS philosophies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Seven years in a Human Resources generalist role with experience in policy administration, benefit administration, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Five years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship available.
  • Human Resources experience supporting a global company will make you a stronger candidate.

Organization Structures and Interfaces:

You will lead the HR team that includes eight team members. You will report to the Sr. VP of Corporate Administration.

Salary range: $100k-200k total annual compensation. This salary range represents the low and high end for this position. The salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of LRS total compensation package for employees.
