Leaders for Clean Air is Hiring a Sales Development Representative Near Salt Lake, UT

Company Overview:

Leaders for Clean Air is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable transportation solutions by facilitating the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. We work closely with businesses and organizations to advocate for and implement environmentally friendly initiatives, helping them access incentives and resources for adopting EV charging infrastructure.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Development Representative to join our team and drive the expansion of EV charging infrastructure across the Wasatch Front. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients, including commercial property owners, businesses, and municipalities. Your primary goal will be to educate prospects about the benefits of installing EV charging stations and guide them through the process of accessing incentives and support programs available. The outcome of the engagement is a revenue generating order in the form of an EV charging station purchase with installation, a donation commitment or a grant writing engagement

Requirements:

  • Must reside within the Wasatch Front Area, Utah

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect and qualify leads through proactive outreach efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
  • Spend time with the potential customers (minimum 40 hours per month of face-to-face and/or virtual meetings with current and prospective customers is required)
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and consultations to understand potential clients' goals, challenges, and requirements related to EV charging infrastructure.
  • Educate prospects about the environmental, financial, and societal benefits of installing EV charging stations, highlighting available incentives and support programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and solutions tailored to meet clients' specific needs and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and resource throughout the sales process.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and incentive programs related to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
  • Deliver agreed-upon sales targets and charger placements. Close a determined amount of new business per year, primarily defined in revenue generated.
  • Work directly with our existing business sales leadership to ensure expectations are met and the customer is delighted.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (2 years in sales).
  • Significant experience in a multifaceted, strategic sales process and a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to manage a full funnel and pipeline selling process as it relates to territory and account opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to professionalism, integrity and sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent thinker with a team orientation to challenges.
  • Responsible for running the territory as a business by being well disciplined in a home office environment.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel up to 60% (mostly driving)
  • Ability to work from a home office.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,275.58 - $46,095.32 per year
