Laurel Bakery is Hiring a Retail Operations Manager Near Brooklyn, NY
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery to ensure smooth running and high standards of service, including ensuring proper staffing levels at all times.
- Manage retail-related inventory levels, order retail related supplies, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the bakery is well-stocked and cost-efficient.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely production and availability of products.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and operations.
- Ensure quality control of all beverages, providing additional training as needed.
- Oversight of delivery and pickup platforms to maintain revenue targets set by partners.
- Implement strategies to increase productivity and sales, while maintaining quality.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Handle barista scheduling, payroll processing (for all employees), and other administrative tasks to ensure the bakery runs efficiently.
- Upload bakery invoices on a weekly basis, corresponding with Head Baker and vendors as needed to resolve any invoicing issues.
- Perform weekly cash duties, ensuring that daily cash deposits and cash tips are properly recorded and processed.
- Human Resources:
- Manage hiring, onboarding, performance appraisals, and employee development programs.
- Lead, motivate, and train staff to ensure a high level of performance and morale.
- Ensure HR documentation is all consistent and uniform to Redwood Hospitality’s systems.
- Address employee grievances, enforce disciplinary actions, and ensure a harmonious workplace environment.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning health, safety, and the Department of Health requirements.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to protect employees and customers, including regular health and safety audits.
- Stay updated with industry standards and regulations related to food safety and sanitation.
- Customer Service:
- Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently, implementing measures to prevent future issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers, gathering feedback to improve services and products.
