Responsibilities:

• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Process 3-way PO matching invoices
• Prioritize invoice payment timelines according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Audit, code, acquire authorized signatures and input non-PO purchases.
• Keep track of due date schedule for payments and make payments through appropriate method and currency.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Understand and record expenses for sales tax payment purchases.
• Prepare or assist in preparing any reports or returns, including 1099's required by State or Federal agencies.
• Follow up with vendors on issues related to AP and maintain good relationships.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Responsible for month end AP closing timelines.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education development (GED)
• 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Strong knowledge of SAP
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be good at managing, organizing and prioritizing tasks, possessing a problem solving approach.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
