Position Summary: Under general supervision the responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities: 

• Accounting Functions:
  • Processing of required regulatory reporting (FR2900, 5300 Call Reporting, Unclaimed Property, 945 Tax Reporting & 990 Tax Reporting)
  • Ability to reconcile Month End, Quarter End & Year End
  • Ability to prepare, balance & process Prepaid / Fixed Assets
  • Oversight of Contract & Vendor Management
  • Raddon data collection and system input to include information validation
  • Escheat & Unclaimed Property monthly account activity monitoring 
  • Data Collection of ALM, Budget, CECL and Special Financial Reports as needed 
  • Process monthly insurance product billings 
  • Annual 1099 Processing Vendor Verification
  • Expense Reimbursement processing
  • Corporate VISA payment processing
  • First payment on us processing
  • Ability to process Accounts Payable & Receivable’s 
  • Assist with all audit and exam processes as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
• Risk Management & Control:
  • Maintain awareness of potential credit union compliance risk, complies with Federal, State, and Local Financial Legal Requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management of needed actions.
  • Maintains member’s confidence and protects the credit union by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Preserves historical records and maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures; reporting needed changes; filing account documents.
  • Review all activities for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering / Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations and participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Officer

Requirements

Education/Certifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or a minimum of 5 years of credit union or banking related accounting experience
