Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring high-quality food production, and managing a team of cooks. Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus in accordance with customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Supervise and coordinate food production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food handling, preparation techniques, and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Oversee banquet operations, including menu planning and execution for special events
Experience:
- Experience in italian and latin american food
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food management, and banquet operations
- Proficient in food handling and preparation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
