We are looking for a dynamic and highly-motivated Permanent Sr. Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, providing critical support in the areas of financial reporting, general ledger, and forecasting. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with all levels of the organization, providing key insights and analysis that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Sr. Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Managing the general ledger, including reconciliations, adjustments, and month-end close processes.
3. Assisting in the development of financial forecasts and budgets, working closely with various department heads.
4. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
5. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Assisting with special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as needed.
7. Providing support to the finance team in all areas of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and forecasting.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
6. Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred, but not required.
