Are you a seasoned Litigation Paralegal with a passion for justice and an eye for detail? Then we have the perfect career opportunity for you. Our firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of complex cases, including First Party Property, commercial litigation, and construction litigation, working closely with our trial attorneys to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. This is a full-time, onsite position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive legal research and due diligence to gather and analyze information relevant to pending cases.
2. Assisting in the preparation and management of trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
3. Coordinating the collection, review, and production of ESI (Electronically Stored Information) for e-discovery.
4. Utilizing legal software such as Lexis-Nexis and iConnect for case management and research.
5. Participating in all phases of the litigation process, from initiation to resolution.
6. Assisting trial attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
7. Drafting legal documents and correspondence, as required.
8. Providing litigation support to attorneys during trial, such as organizing exhibits, maintaining files, and handling client inquiries.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Litigation Paralegal position, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in commercial and construction litigation.
2. Proficiency in handling First Party Property cases and other complex litigation matters.
3. Extensive experience in electronic discovery and the management of ESI.
4. Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and iConnect.
5. Strong knowledge of the litigation process, from initial case assessment to resolution.
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
8. Paralegal certification or equivalent educational background in legal studies is preferred.
