Job Summary:

JEGS is searching for a Director of Human Resources to continuously improve our "Employer of Choice” culture. Focus areas include talent acquisition, employee retention, training/development and daily HR operations. Be a key part of our large successful company as we continue our growth and development of a prominent company culture. This is an exceptional opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Delaware, Ohio.

You will:

  • Collaborating with Executive leadership team to define the organization's long-term mission and core values to continue an inclusive culture.
  • Oversight of the Company 401K and Profit-Sharing plans and administration.
  • Managing the company's Property & Casualty insurance program for D&O, Cyber, General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, etc. including annual renewals.
  • Oversight of the daily workflow of the Human Resources department.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. It is preferred that the candidate has experience with employees in multiple states and also experience remote staffing solutions.
  • Drafting and implementing the organization's staffing budget and is responsible for the budget for the HR department.
  • Oversight of the Workers' Compensation program. Must have prior experience with Self­ Insured Workers' Compensation including the self-Insured audit process. Responsible for reviewing workers' compensation case management, which includes coordinating treatment and return to work for injured employees.
  • Oversight of Safety Compliance including reviewing safety policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance with OSHA records and training requirements.
  • Oversight of the Recruiting process and personally handling the Executive Recruitment for the company, establishing recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs. Must have experience sourcing IT and Executive-level positions.
  • Managing all associate Benefits programs, assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management, and obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids.
  • All aspects of Compensation Management. Establishing compensation plans, conducting periodic pay surveys, scheduling, and conducting job evaluations, preparing pay increase budgets, implementing pay structure revisions and developing motivational bonus plans.
  • Managing Succession Planning, working with managers to identify and develop internal candidates with potential to fill key business leadership positions within the company through systematic evaluation process and testing.
  • Maintaining management policies, procedures, guidelines, and the Associate Handbook.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of training programs on an on-going basis and making recommendations as necessary in order to ensure quality and consistency. Will develop/select training programs.
  • Associate Discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Managing the HR15 selection and external tools to manage and effective Human Resources Dept. We currently use ADP.
  • Managing an HR Team that currently includes a Payroll Manager, HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition Manager and Training and Development/Regulatory Compliance Manager.

You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or human resources management. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of six years in Human Resources at Manager level
  • You must be an "associate advocate" and be comfortable creating and maintaining relationships with all associates
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
  • Strong expertise at networking and sourcing high level Executive Candidates
  • Ability to consistently exercise sound judgment
  • Must be able to effectively handle confidential information
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office

This position is a "Hands On" working director. Position requires strong management skills which include planning, strategic focus, and executive recruitment.
