We are seeking a Sales Analytics Manager who will be responsible for leading the sales analytics team, including managing all sales analysis and delivery of key business insights to facilitate and refine brand strategy across marketing, operations and development; partnering with business leaders within Del Taco highlighting both critical business issues and opportunities for growth through comprehensive quantitative modeling; and leveraging data to create value, drive efficiency, and streamline execution across promotional strategy, pricing and in-depth margin analysis for Company and Franchise business partners.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the full sales analysis process starting from restaurant sales, traffic, margin, and check mix insights to promotional activity, test market performance, new product development, menu strategy, pricing, marketing/advertising initiatives, and mix/product forecasting while also incorporating operational metrics such as guest metrics (GEM), speed of service, order accuracy and labor metrics. Exercises best industry practices ensuring proper accuracy, timeliness, and prioritization.
Prepares clear and concise presentation material for senior management including Franchise, Investor, and Board of Director updates.
Advises and presents marketing and operations analysis to senior management to facilitate decision making on strategic initiatives providing an “eyes wide open” approach leveraging well-formulated quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Acts as a thought leader and subject matter expert to drive brand improvement performing statistical and comparative analysis to identify correlations, performance outliers and key trends for a comprehensive understanding of both potential benefits as well as associated business risks.
Partners closely with Del Taco Marketing and Operations teams in the preparation, review and recommendation of various projects related to food management/training (food and paper variance, menu efficiency, hourly usage, test product/new vendors, etc.) for a comprehensive assessment of actionable efficiencies and opportunities to drive improvement. Ensures partnering teams have all the proper tools and models to effectively translate strategic initiatives into adequate field execution.
Manages and coordinates with IT/external consultants in designing, building and consolidating Business Intelligence data projects to meet the growing needs of both leadership and the field through dashboards, data source improvements, and data accessibility.
Assesses internal and external data sources to capture competitive benchmarking, market trends, macro environment, pricing and consumer behavior to better inform business leaders as well as spot potential skews and anomalies.
Drives recipe management system making sure all current, new and test recipes from R&D and operations are implemented timely and assigned to stores correctly all while ensuring adequate cross-functional alignment with POS programming, Accounting and Supply Chain for proper set-up and reporting.
Assists leadership in periodic forecast of sales and all expenses as well as the creation of annual Franchise budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
Experience - 7 years related business finance or related experience.

High proficiency with with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Access)
Ability to work independently and effectively interact with colleagues at all levels as well as external parties while managing competing priorities
Physical Requirements - Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a personal computer and operate a 10-key by touch.

The range for this position is $113,100 - $161,100 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
