We are seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to join our team. The Business Office Manager will be responsible for applying for medicaid on behalf of residents, maintaining census lines in the EMR system and administoring resident banking services. while ensuring efficiency and productivity.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in skilled nursing business office management and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Must Posess a High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years experiance in a nursing home business office or nursing home billing office
- Must Posess expert knowledge of Medicaid Application processes and associated laws and regulations
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning Resident Funds Management and Mail Handling
- Must possess Excellent customer service skills
- Assures accurate data entry of client information, record and tie out census daily
- Applies for Medicaid on Behalf of residents when appropriate
- Responsible for all patient pay collections and hospice billing monthly
- Support the facility with resident trust activity for banking purposes, Dispenses residents funds daily during Banking Hours and monitors funds for appropirateness
- Identify and process accounts that are deemed non-collectable and forward to Corporate for collections
- Reivew and sort incoming mail to facility ensuring Mail Handling Regulations are met
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
- Ensure office policies and procedures are followed
- Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and efficiency
- Proven experience in business office management of a skilled nursing facility or a similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
