INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION is Hiring an Employee Relations Manager Near Irvine, CA

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to oversee and manage employee relations matters across our multi state organization, with a specific focus on California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, deep knowledge of California labor laws, and a proven track record of resolving complex employee relations issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, providing guidance on policy interpretation, and resolving disputes.
  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies and programs that align with company goals and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise and train managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in California, and ensure company compliance.
  • Partner with legal counsel as needed to address complex employee relations issues and mitigate legal risks.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee relations records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in employee relations, with a focus on California employment law.
  • Post secondary education experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in California.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably PAYCOM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
