About the Job

We are seeking a Director of Investor Relations to collaborate with the Fund Manager and Executive Director to create and execute a successful catalytic capital funding campaign for RevFund. This role will source, establish and nurture investor relationships and secure LP commitments in the fund. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of an entrepreneurial community while making a lasting impact on the startup impact ecosystem.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement a strategy to cultivate, grow, and manage a pipeline of impact investors and funders, serving as a key voice and subject matter expert in building a blended finance strategy that attracts catalytic funding to advance RevHub’s mission. This may involve attending or presenting at conferences where funders will be present; and hosting briefings, webinars, and meetings to help funders learn about impact investing and RevHub’s mission.
  • Capital Raise: Identify and secure impact investment from high-net-worth individuals, government agencies, foundations, donor advised funds, and other key funder segments interested in supporting RevHub’s mission.
  • Investor Materials: In collaboration with the Executive Director and/or Fund Manager, evaluate and synthesize investment opportunities to prepare investor materials needed for fundraising and ongoing reporting on the fund, including marketing, proposals, CRM, data room/due diligence, and legal processes.
  • Cross Team Collaboration: Work alongside our Executive Team on a day-to-day basis to assess opportunities and identify target funder segments, bespoke vehicles, and other investment structures. Develop a deep understanding of RevHub strategy in order to properly communicate and represent impact strategy and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of successful capital raising experience. Securing 7 figure investments is commonplace for you.
    • or 5-10 years of impact investment experience at a social impact fund, investment bank, commercial bank, consulting firm, or investment manager.
  • Exceptional acumen in quantitative and analytical skills
  • Understanding of impact strategies driving market systems change, financial inclusion, affordable housing opportunities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and make connections that will drive funding opportunities.
  • Ability to inspire and hold accountable diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on a multicultural team, across lines of difference.
  • Ability to participate in evening and weekend events as needed.

Additional Preferred Qualifications that would support your success:

  • Experience with impact monitoring and management
  • Engagement with industry groups, including Mission Investors Exchange, Global Impact Investing Network, TONIIC, Confluence
  • Entrepreneurial (or intrapreneurial) experience, taking and managing associated risks and working in early stage companies
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven skills in organization and time management
  • Client service orientation
  • Willingness to travel

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, communications, or related field
  • 5 years experience in investor relations and fundraising
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies to attract VC investment
