Intercultural Family Services is Hiring a Director of Clinical Operations Near Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary:
The Director of Clinical Operations provides strategic leadership to the organization. As a senior leader of Intercultural Family Services (IFS), they are accountable for programmatic oversight and the pursuit of excellence within all current and future clinical programs. Guided by the mission, vision, and core values of IFS, the Director of Clinical Leadership is responsible for the development, implementation, managing, and monitoring of all clinical programs and initiatives, ensuring high quality in service delivery to the community, compliance to external stakeholders such as Community Behavioral Health (CBH), Health Management Organizations (HMO), the Network Improvement and Accountability Collaborative (NIAC), and Pennsylvania’s Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (OMHSA), and positive support and development toward staff recruitment and retention. Further, the Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for executing the organization's strategic plan and reporting directly to executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently emplifies the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Intercultural Family Services. Provides day-to-day leadership and management to the agency that mirrors the mission and core values.
  • Supports and executes the organization’s strategic plan to capitalize on opportunities for organizational growth and financial profitability. Collaborates with leadership throughout the organization to develop and implement program strategies that will meet organizational, state, local, and federal policies and regulations as well as accrediting agency requirements.
  • Provides guidance to Executive and Clinical Managers in the areas of clinical policy interpretation; delivery of clinically relevant and appropriate services; evaluation of clinical practice; and methods to improve delivery, quality, and clinical excellence.
  • Creates partnerships with universities for internships, training, recruitment, and emerging promising practices to better support clinicians and clients.
  • Serves as liaison to regulatory agencies and other entities within the community and state.
  • Participates as a member of internal and external committees, and participates in speaking engagements, conference panels, and trainings.
  • Provides oversight to psychiatric and clinical services across all IFS locations.
  • Works closely with Executive Leadership and Program Managers in program enhancement and development activities including but not limited to researching Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) modes, contract applications, development of collaborative partnerships, seeking diverse and additional funding opportunities, responding to finding requests or RFPs, and assist in creating strategies in response to identified service gaps or needs. Responds to requests for proposals and applications.
  • Creates an operational infrastructure of systems designed to accommodate current and future growth in all clinical areas.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of processes. Develops and monitors programs using verifiable metrics to ensure quality staff support, oversight, and development throughout all clinical programs.
  • Develops and directs all clinical operating policies and procedures.
  • Develops division performance indicators and benchmarks. Reviews clinical operations productivity, admissions/discharges, corrective action plan liability (CAP), staffing, and expenses. Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on all clinical operations.
  • Participates and supports all clinical regulatory audits; ensures staff within each program are in compliance.
  • Monitors and ensures all required, regulatory documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinated with the CEO, COOD, Director Of Fiance, and the Manager of Quality Assurance in budget management for all clinical programs and initiatives, monitoring the achievement of financial goals and objectives. Leads the budget process for each clinical program.
  • Responsible for the direction and coordination of clinical continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance management team. Supervise Program Managers, behavioral health providers (i.e., psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, psychologist) to help create a positive culture where employees, at all levels, are engaged. Hire, and provide ongoing training, coaching, professional development, and evaluation, including annual performance review, and documentation of developmental recommendations.
  • Monitors performance standards of all direct reports and ensures direct reports are ensuring performance standards for program employees and contractors.
  • Maintain effective communication with Executive Leadership, Program Managers, and Peers.
  • Other duties that may be assigned in response to emerging trends or new services and/or program development opportunities.

Qualifcations:

  • A Master's degree in any of the following: psychology, social work, counseling, or other related fields. Demonstrated success in organizational and strategic management, clinical services delivery, and staff supervision. At least 3 years of work experience in Healthcare Administration, Leadership, and/or management are required. Licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in Psychiatric Outpatient Behavioral Health, Intensive Behavioral Health (IBHS), and Family-Based Services are preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in CMS Medicare/Medicaid regulations, Community Behavioral Health (CBH), and COA accreditation.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity toward the behavioral health issues presented in communities of diverse ethnicity.Experience in a multiracial and multiethnic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 per year
