Sales Representative - Central-Upper Midwest Region

Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin

Our client is a privately held company headquartered in Santa Rosa, California, with manufacturing plants throughout the US. Their team, currently operating multiple facilities in 6 states with over 100 employees, builds strong relationships with customers and suppliers while continuing to provide exceptional customer service with the highest level of integrity.

As the Sales Representative, you will primarily be responsible for growing sales in the Central-Upper Midwest Region (Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin). You will be expected to carry out the mission and objectives of the Director of Sales and the National Sales Manager to achieve the desired outcomes. You will represent the company professionally and ethically with high integrity.

To thrive, you should have:

  • 5 years of roofing industry sales experience.
  • Experience with SAP Business One Accounting Software preferred.
  • Roofing wholesale distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction 

Your responsibilities as the Sales Representative will include: 

  • Serves as a relationship manager with all customers, including maintaining and building relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Calls on wholesale roofing distributors, roofing contractors, and private label partners in sales territory.
  • Calls on electrical distributors, plumbing distributors, and other sales channels.
  • Provides pricing, product information, lead time information, and customer updates as necessary and as directed by Territory Sales Manager.
  • Makes at least 30 - 40 weekly sales calls and incorporates technology in the sales process as needed.
  • Makes small deliveries to customers from time to time.
  • Highly collaborative with Inside Sales Representatives, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings weekly.
  • Reports daily verbal and written communication to the Territory Sales Manager. 
  • Ensures CRM database is maintained, both accurately and timely.
