Ingram Industries is looking for an experienced Benefits Manager to provide support to the members of our benefits department located in Nashville, TN. This corporate-level position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the various company-wide employee (and retiree) benefit programs related to health and welfare plans. You will provide guidance, support, and training to the Benefit Services Representatives and assist the Benefits Director with the administration of health and welfare programs
What you will be doing:
Managing Benefit Services Representative team, including hiring, training, and providing professional development opportunities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
Providing guidance and assistance on day-to-day administration of employee health and wellness benefit plans, including interpretation of Summary Plan Descriptions, eligibility, plan options, features, and enrollment requirements.
Resolving complex benefits and customer service issues.
In collaboration with the Benefits Director, assists with the communication of benefit-related materials through the year.
Serving as a liaison with HR managers and third-party service providers, insurance carriers, consultants, and brokers as applicable with the Benefits Director for problem resolution.
Processing and approving premium billings for various carriers.
Reviewing routine processes, recommending, and implementing process improvements.
Conducting special projects as directed by Benefits Director.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
