IMOS HOLDING COMPANY is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near St. Louis, MO

Brief Job Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the overall human resources functions. Supports all Imos Holding departments by screening and interviewing applicants; onboarding; orienting new employees; administering employee benefit programs, schedule training, maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases.

Job Functions

  • Recruitment
    • Conducting phone interviews
    • Conducting reference checks on prospective employees
    • Submitting and reviewing background checks
    • Setting up prospective employee DOT physical & drug screen appointments
    • Preparing employee new hire packets
  • Benefits Administration
    • Sending out packets to newly eligible employees
    • Notifying benefit carriers of additions, changes, and terminations
    • Assisting with annual open enrollment
  • Workers Compensation
    • Investigating claims
    • Submitting claims to workers compensation insurance
    • Working with employees and managers to coordinate the return-to-work process
  • HRIS Maintenance
    • Adding new hires, terminating termed employees, and making changes to current employees.
    • Running reports as requested (e.g., not limited to tracking turnover, status change, EEO)
  • Support
    • Filing and file maintenance
    • HR Audits: I-9, Personnel Records, other audits as assigned.
    • Review invoices for third party HR services (background checks, insurance, unemployment, etc.)
    • Scheduling, assist in developing and presenting trainings: not limited to safety, sanitation, and compliance
    • Answering employee questions
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree and/or 4 years experience.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with HR team and other departments
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, policies or government regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ongoing education and learning of HR laws, regulations, policies and best practices
