Job Title: Floor Manager

Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan NY

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated floor manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, as well as hiring, training, and developing staff. You must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing a high-volume location and experience with spirits and fine dining.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service.
• Manage and develop a team of employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as local health and safety regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular meetings with staff to review performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, including cash handling, safe counts, and ensuring the restaurant is always secure.
• Plan and execute daily floor plans to optimize seating arrangements and ensure maximum efficiency.
• Create and manage employee schedules to always ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Maintain a positive and professional working environment for all staff members.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of spirits and fine dining to train and educate staff on industry trends, new products, and service techniques.
• Ensure that all front-of-house staff can accurately describe and recommend wine and beverage pairings to guests.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing a high-volume restaurant, with experience in fine dining and spirits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office and restaurant management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
