Job Description:
KYU is an Asian-inspired concept with a focus on wood-fired, fresh, and informal shared dining in a meticulously detailed setting. We are actively seeking a reliable, passionate, and experienced Floor Manager who is eager to develop their skills, expand their experience, and advance their career.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional customer experience and maintain the highest service standards.
- Memorize our recipes and service procedures to ensure a top-notch dining experience.
- Train and develop team members.
- Ensure the restaurant upholds the highest cleanliness standards.
- Maintain the location to the company's standards at all times.
- Foster guest satisfaction by engaging with tables and guests on a daily basis.
- Maintain proper inventory levels for beverages and food.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees.
- Oversee employee training to ensure consistency.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Motivate employees to collaborate as a team.
- Ensure the restaurant is in pristine condition in terms of cleanliness, repairs, and maintenance.
- Fulfill other duties as requested by a manager.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of current, salaried management experience in a high-volume polished casual/upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant.
- A strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge, and guest service.
- Proven ability to develop and lead a team.
- Knowledge of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to excellent execution.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Solid business knowledge.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), with familiarity with Cogswell being a significant asset.
